Preventative Maintenance Services for Fire Curtain Systems in the U.S.

This annual service is offered to verify safety and compliance standards continue to be met, to test deployment for efficient and safe operation, and to ensure overall quality of materials and components meet U.S. Smoke and Fire standards.

Our 38-point electrical and mechanical service includes:

  • Check all fuses
  • Test override & Test grounds
  • Check back-up power supply
  • Check voltage at MC positive loop at CP- retracted state
  • Check voltage at MC positive loop at CP at deployment
  • Check voltage at MC negative loop at CP -- retracted state
  • Check voltage at MC positive loop at CP at deployment
  • Check motor supply in / out at MC out
  • Check line voltage supply in / out
  • Check transformed voltage & transformer -- retracted state
  • Check transformed voltage & transformer at deployment
  • Check voltage at CP -- retracted state
  • Check voltage at CP at deployment
  • Check loop voltage for short degradation
  • Test key switch contact to fire alarm circuit
  • Check delayed reset control
  • Check mains failure, all trouble lights & annunciator
  • Check (Bldg. Mgmt. System) BMS
  • Spray anti-static printed circuit board (PCB)
  • Spray PCB Board for dust collection
  • Check accessible wiring terminations
  • Grease all contacts
  • Lubricate side rails & housing check for obstruction
  • Adjust curtain fabric tabs and bottom bar
  • Inspect curtain fabric for damage./excessive wrinkle ,push buttons, and bottom bars for damage
  • Bottom Bar Fabric slack removed
  • Obstruction Bar Bent
  • Bottom Bar Bent
  • Bottom Bar Sits flush with Headbox
  • Obstruction of Headbox
  • Obstruction of side rails-opening must be no less than inch
  • Apply fire coating as necessary
  • All labels installed on the correct location
  • Cycle curtain system for efficient and safe operation per NFPA 3 guidelines
  • Curtain drop test
  • Curtain open test
  • Curtain deploy test
  • Curtain close test
